About Us

The Tibet Tech prayer wheel company is located in the greater Seattle area on South Whidbey Island, USA.  Tibet Tech is the vision of its founder, Chuck Pettis, a long-time meditator and Tibetan Buddhist, who wants to make the incredible spiritual power of Tibet Tech prayer wheels available to all.  Chuck Pettis also wants to support his teacher, His Holiness Jigdal Dagchen Sakya, in preserving the spiritual teachings of Tibetan Buddhism.

Author of the book, Secrets of Sacred Space, Chuck Pettis is also an expert on the design and creation of sacred spaces. Earth Sanctuary (www.earthsanctuary.org) is an exemplary example of a sacred and peaceful place that uses Tibet Tech prayer wheels, a stupa, and a sculpture garden of stone circles, labyrinth, medicine wheel, and dolmen to create an inspiring and unique environment for personal renewal and spiritual growth.  Earth Sanctuary is also the retreat center, the Tara Meditation Center, for Sakya Monastery of Tibetan Buddhism (www.sakya.org).

His Holiness Jigdal Dagchen Sakya, one of the revered Tibetan Buddhist leaders, is the inspiration for Tibet Tech prayer wheels.  He oversaw the design and construction of the prayer wheels.  H.H. Jigdal Dagchen Sakya, a Head Lama of the Sakya sect and Sakya Monastery of Tibetan Buddhism (www.sakya.org)  in Seattle, was raised and trained as a religious leader in old Tibet. The Sakya leaders hold a position third only to His Holiness the Dalai Lama in rank.  Dagchen Rinpoche is also one of the few elder non-sectarian (re-me) lineage holders living today.
